This blog is an open and frank (as frank as I can bear at least) account of my physical, emotional and cognitive experience of losing weight with the aid of a gastric band; and, having shed the weight, my efforts at weight maintenance and my experience of living as a slimmer woman.
Hello, I noticed in these photos that you don't have any scars from excess skin surgery. But your skin around the stomache area is remarkable tight, and well normal looking lol. Did you need excess skin surgery? If you didn't how did you manage to keep the skin tight!? Thanks :)
I haven't had any skin surgery (although I did have a breast uplift yesterday).
I was very fortunate that, other than my breasts, my skin fared relatively well in my weight loss. It is by no means perfect! The very top of my inner thighs and a small section on my lower abdominal area have some skin puckering. Nothing that would require surgical correction.
During the losing phase - and now - I use body lotion all over. It may be that had some beneficial effect?? As, I'm sure, did my staying very well hydrated. Water, water, water.........
