This blog is an open and frank (as frank as I can bear at least) account of my physical, emotional and cognitive experience of losing weight with the aid of a gastric band; and, having shed the weight, my efforts at weight maintenance and my experience of living as a slimmer woman.
My scars have certainly faded but they have not and, I guess, will not disappear altogether. I can wear a bikini without concern that they are noticeable from most people's standpoint.
Everyone is unique however and the skill of the surgeon, how well you heal, the kind of skin you have and a modicum of luck will all play their part. I am told by other people who have had the op that my scars are neater and much less noticeable than their own.

Does the scares slowly disappear ? or will they stay ? i'm gonna get lap band done and i'm worry about the scars
